In today’s digital age, reliable and high-speed internet connectivity is crucial for both individuals and businesses. With the growing demand for faster and more stable connections, technology has evolved to meet these needs. One such innovative solution is the 821WP Mission Critical PoE Solution, a powerful tool that enhances internet and Ethernet connectivity. Were used as a standalone device outdoors or for deploying outdoor WiFi Access points up to 3,280 feet away.

In this article, we will delve into the world of PoE extension for WiFi AP use, exploring their functionality, benefits, and how they contribute to an improved online experience.

The current 821WP Solution is an upgraded version of the 2016 model with superior throughput, and fast startup and recovery from any power interruptions.
This new breed of waterproof PoE Ethernet Extender leverages mission critical reliability and performance. As soon as you power on the units with the 1-pair of Interlink wiring, the PoE Extension is instantly on and running – no visible sync waiting. No other PoE Extender on the PLANET is capable of this feat.

Even though the 821WP Extender is an awesome, quick solution for deploying outdoor waterproof Wireless access routers and other PoE devices, we always advise on the dangers of using WiFi for any data sensitive uses.

Regardless of wireless security (WEP and alike) – you are still putting your network traffic in the air for everyone to access freely. WiFi capture devices like WiFi Pineapples are available and can clone your WiFi AP MAC addresses and be a man in the middle to capture and un encode your traffic, passwords, and anything your WiFi is putting out. Cracking wireless security takes seconds as our cellphones and laptop computers have plenty of processing power to do so and store days worth of wireless traffic.

Some Key things to be aware of when deploying any WiFi :

  1. WiFi Access Point Antenna Placement: The microwave frequency pattern (Fresnel Zone) coming out of your antenna – will reflect back into itself if not at least 30 feet above the ground, roof or any other hard surface below or around the antenna. This will degrade your wireless distance and throughput performance.

  2. WiFi Weather effects: As always – clear line of sight wireless yields the best performance and distance range. However even with that you need to be aware that heavy rain adds lots of reflective water molecules that severely degrade performance and certainly any heavy snowfall can completely block and render your WiFi useless.

  3. Line of Sight Clarity: As mentioned in the above weather effects warnings, you need to be aware that objects that can appear in your line of sight path – like trees growing, new construction and metallic balloons, kites or drones will also create performance issues for your Wireless links.

  4. Network Security: As mentioned in the opening statements – there is no such thing as wireless security.
**** Anything you put into the air is easily intercepted and can be unencrypted ****
Hacking wireless signals has been so commonplace with businesses, homes, cars, video surveillance, access controls and IoT devices that the blackhat industry sells simple devices to anyone wanting to easily spy on all WiFi signals. Can you afford your competitors to access your network?

  5. Back to copper: Keep in mind all wireless, fiber and LAN devices always go back to copper Ethernet connections. You have the ability to go at least 328 Feet / 100m away from the end of the 821WP remote enclosure outside. So your deployment can be up to 3, 280 feet of 1Km away from your LAN and Power source. This lets you put your PoE devices where you need them the most and not limited to IEEE 802.3 LAN standards.

Our recommendations is to always consult with a WiFi expert that has had lots of experience and can offer performance guarantees. They will also be amazed by our 821WP PoE Extender’s abilities to allow them flexibility for maximum placement of your WiFi infrastructure.

    1. Plug and Go Simplicity: The 821WP PoE Solution is a rapid deployment kit that has industry standard RJ-45 LAN connections.
The remote outdoor end uses waterproof glands that you tighten to seal out any moisture and be able to submerge the unit.
      The interfaces are as follows:
10/100Mbps full-duplex Ethernet Data RJ-45 connections – uses 2-pair of wire total but if using a 8 wire cable it uses the extra copper for power transmission.
Transmissão de dados com taxa de transferência de 100 Mbps através de interconexão
      Protocolo Ethernet LAN independente
      MTU do LAN Ethernet: 1500
      Pass-through de VLAN IP

    2. High Power PoE: The 821WP Extender Kit comes with a 56V-71W DC Power Injector 2.5mm DC jack. This will enable your high powered WiFi Access Point to have plenty of energy and supports IEEE 802.3 AF/AT/BT support natively.
Class 1,2 & 3 with provided PoE. You can achieve Class 4 with your own 95W adapter.
Cabo de alimentação específico do país (120-260V AC)

    3. Rugged IP68 Rated Enclosure for Remote end: The 821WP remote end unit is a IP68 Waterproof and dustproof enclosure with a Power LED to show PoE is present and ready to go. If installed correctly with the provided glands – this unit can actually operate while under meters of water.

    4. Network Security: We use 256-bit AES encryption to ensure the wired section between your local and remote 821WP ends remain secure. This is important if deploying over distances and in area you may not necessarily have 24hr security control over.

    5. Extended Range : Leveraging existing wiring is always the most cost saving endeavor and because the 821WP PoE solution can operate over a 1-pair Coax line or 2-pair copper wiring, it aids in the decision of how and where to deploy. It is not uncommon to find coaxial and twisted-pair copper cables in the network infrastructure of a building and runs to other building or locations where the remote WiFi Access Point can be placed.

There is never a need to be restricted by Ethernet Distance limits for your network infrastructure or PoE (Power over Ethernet) device deployment. Leveraging Enable-IT PoE and Ethernet Extender Solutions you have the flexibility to go up to 1.8Gbps and use existing wiring up to 3,280ft / 1 km.
